Patrick McHugh

A lumberjack since he was 12 years old, Patrick McHugh was a boom hand with several Muskegon area lumber mills, including the Muskegon Booming Company in the 1880’s. He could have possibly worked for Rogers and LeBouef’s mill at one time too. His wife (Bazlice) had a sister named Olimpe, who married a Delphis LeBouef. Patrick worked for Breneman Curtain Roll Factory. A copy of his work record from them indicated he earned 35 cents an hour when hired in 1918 and 45 cents an hour in 1923. He died in 1931.
